Hama K.K. has been selected for the fourth Additional Round of the “J-Startup TOHOKU” programme, having been chosen as a leading growth startup in the Tohoku region.

“Seven Companies Selected for ‘J-Startup TOHOKU’!” (Tohoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry)

We have been selected as one of seven additional companies in the 'J-Startup TOHOKU' programme, promoted by the Tohoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry and Sendai City. We are a startup expected to achieve dramatic growth from the Tohoku region.

The initiative identifies promising Tohoku-based companies as role models and supports their growth through a public-private support network.

We sincerely view this selection as recognition of our potential as a leading Tohoku startup. We will use this recognition to further accelerate our growth by intensifying our technological development and societal implementation efforts.

We are a tech startup headquartered in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture, engaged in the development, manufacturing and provision of solutions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including our proprietary development of the “HAMADORI Series” seaplane-type UAVs, which are capable of taking off from and landing on water.

We are particularly strong in the fixed-wing UAV sector, where our ability to rapidly and seamlessly advance projects from design and prototyping through flight testing to mass production development is highly regarded by customers.

'J-Startup TOHOKU' supports participants through government incentives and public-private partnerships, aiding fundraising, talent acquisition and the expansion of sales channels and collaborative partnerships.

Leveraging this support, we will expand our value offerings through UAV technology to address societal challenges such as disasters, climate change and security, guided by our mission: “Defend Our Future, Open New Horizons”.

Moving forward, we will accelerate societal implementation by collaborating with partners including government agencies, research institutions, and heavy industry. This collaboration will take forms tailored to specific objectives, such as joint research and development, prototyping, flight testing, development studies for mass production, and operational-focused demonstrations.
